There are storms that pass by, leaving behind terrible ruins. But it is also the time when people realize the miraculous power of kindness and sharing. Amidst the remnants of nature's anger, we witnessed a resilient, warm and affectionate Thai Nguyen.

Thai Nguyen these days is like a chaotic picture: houses with roofs blown off, trash and mud everywhere, supermarkets with the first floor flooded, pigs in farms floating on the water... and the echoes of floodwaters mixed with the sounds of people fleeing. Yet, in the midst of that scene, there are hands silently wrapping and arranging boxes of instant noodles, tying up gift bags. Each package of relief luggage given is not simply material, but a part of love sent to the people in the flood-affected areas with the heart.

Son Hong Kieu would like to send our deepest gratitude to:
-
Nguyen Thao (The person in the photo) - a gentle and passionate bridge, the one who connected golden hearts to make this journey of love complete.
-
The Central Youth Union in Thai Nguyen - our reliable companions, helping us overcome all difficulties to bring support to the people.
-
The soldiers and volunteers – the "angels" in green, who stand in the rain and wind but still smile as bright as the sun, giving strength to everyone.
Heartwarming moments in the midst of the storm
We will never forget the image of our staff working hard at night. Under the light, their hands quickly wrapped each dumpling, their eyes sparkling with the belief of a brighter tomorrow. They were not only wrapping dumplings, but also seemed to be wrapping care, understanding and hope.
Two hundred gift bags, two hundred wishes, two hundred small hopes were carried through the floodwaters, toward people who were in dire need of a warm embrace.
As the afternoon fell on the road back to Hanoi, it began to rain again. The raindrops fell on the car windows, like tears from the earth and sky, from the giver and the receiver. But strangely, each of us felt a strange warmth in our hearts. Because we knew that, in a faraway place, there were hearts being fueled by the fire of human love.
Storms can wash away tin roofs and flood village streets, but they cannot wash away kindness. Mud can cover the yard, but it cannot cover the light of sharing.

This journey once again affirms the truth that Son Hong Kieu always keeps in mind: "When we give, we lose nothing - we only sow a seed of goodness in our hearts." 🌱
Thank you to the young people, the soldiers, the resilient children of Thai Nguyen – small candles but strong enough to light up the stormy night.
And thank you to the hearts that know how to stop, bend down, listen and give.
